If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Lightspeed Payments stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Online Fraud Protection

For our protection, all online orders are carefully inspected by our fraud team. Customers may be emailed and asked for a Canadian government issued photo ID, and may also be asked to fill a credit card authorization form, before an order is shipped. 

The name on the online order must match the name on the payment card used and the name on the Photo ID. 

The shipping address must match the billing address and the address on the address on the Photo ID required.

Our fraud protection team may refund and cancel any online order without any further explanation 

DATA RETENTION
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
